AISD to Provide Free Meals for All Students at 76 Schools (En español)

For the 2025–26 school year, ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students at 76 campuses through the federally funded Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program (schools are listed below).

The CEP is a federal meal service option that allows schools in qualifying low-income areas to serve free meals to all enrolled students, no applications or documentation required.

At campuses not eligible for CEP, students will receive meals based on their meal status (free, reduced-price, or paid). Thanks to funding from the Texas Legislature, students approved for reduced-price meals will receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost during the 2025–26 school year.

How to Receive Free or Reduced Price Meals at Schools Not Participating in the CEP

  • Direct certification through  such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
  • Direct certification through enrollment in foster care; migrant, homeless, or runaway programs; Head Start or Early Head Start programs.
  • Determined eligible by creating an account and completing an ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD free or reduced-price meal benefits application at . Paper applications are also available at schools. 

Students not eligible for free or reduced-price meals may purchase healthy, tasty school breakfast and lunch meals at a minimal cost.

  • Full Price - Elementary Schools: $1.90
  • Full Price - Middle & High Schools: $2.15
  • Reduced-Price (All Levels): FREE
  • Adult/Guest: $3.50

Lunch: 

  • Full Price - Elementary Schools: $3.40
  • Full Price - Middle & High Schools: $3.65
  • Reduced-Price (All Levels): FREE
  • Adult/Guest: $5.25

¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD works with local agencies to identify all children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals through state funded programs and will notify the households of these children that they do not need to complete an application.

Any family that does not receive a letter and feels they should have should, or wishes to decline benefits may contact ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD Food Service at 512-414-0251.

Families at schools not participating in the CEP program may submit meal benefit applications anytime during the school year. The information households provide on the application will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility. Applications may also be verified by the school officials at any time during the school year. AISD follows the  to determine if a student is eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

El AISD proveerá comidas gratis para todos los estudiantes en 76 escuelas

En el ciclo escolar 2025-26, el ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD ofrecerá desayuno y almuerzo gratis a todos los estudiantes en 76 escuelas a través del programa Disposición de Elegibilidad Comunitaria (CEP, por sus siglas en inglés), financiado a nivel federal (la lista de escuelas está abajo).

La CEP es una opción federal de servicios alimentarios que les permite a las escuelas en áreas de bajos ingresos que cumplan con los requisitos servir comidas gratis para todos los estudiantes matriculados, sin necesidad de solicitudes o documentación.

En las escuelas que no son elegibles para la CEP, los estudiantes recibirán comidas con base en su estado para las comidas (gratis, a precio reducido o pagado). Gracias al financiamiento de la Legislatura de Texas, los estudiantes aprobados para comidas a precio reducido recibirán tanto desayuno como almuerzo sin costo alguno durante el ciclo escolar 2025-26.

Cómo recibir comidas gratis o a precio reducido en las escuelas que no participan en la CEP

  • Certificación directa a través de beneficios financiados por el estado, como el Programa de Asistencia de Nutrición Suplementaria (SNAP, por sus siglas en inglés) o Asistencia Temporal para Familias Necesitadas (TANF, por sus siglas en inglés)
  • Certificación directa a través de la matriculación en acogida familiar temporal; programas para trabajadores migrantes, personas sin hogar o que se han escapado de su hogar; programas de Head Start o Head Start Temprano
  • Determinación de ser elegible al crear una cuenta y llenar una solicitud para beneficios alimentarios gratis o a precio reducido del ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD en. También hay solicitudes impresas disponibles en las escuelas.

 Los estudiantes que no sean elegibles para comidas gratis o a precio reducido pueden comprar desayunos y almuerzos saludables y deliciosos a un costo mínimo.

El ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD trabaja con agencias locales para identificar a todos los niños que son elegibles para comidas gratis o a precio reducido a través de programas financiados por el estado y notificará a los hogares de estos niños que no necesitan llenar una solicitud. 

Cualquier familia que no reciba una carta y le parezca que debería haberla recibido, o que desee rechazar los beneficios, puede comunicarse con Servicios Alimentarios del ¹û¶³´«Ã½app ISD al 512-414-0251.

Las familias en escuelas que no participan en el programa CEP pueden enviar solicitudes de beneficios alimentarios en cualquier momento durante el ciclo escolar. La información que provean los hogares en la solicitud se usará para el fin de determinar su elegibilidad.
